I don’t remember ever thinking that I wouldn’t ever finish University… then again I didn’t ever think that I would go either. Tomorrow is probably a bigger deal to my parents than it is to me. I’m just not excited about it right now. Although I was excited about it, until I realized that I would be getting next to no sleep.

I took people’s shifts this week because I thought I would be nice, and because I could use the money but now I’m regretting it. I know I’ll be fine once Friday hits because then I’ll (possibly) have four days off in a row. The first of which will be filled with lots and lots of drinking… haha. We’re having a BBQ in the afternoon to celebrate my graduation and to top the night off, I’m going to a great club downtown to celebrate a good friend’s birthday. Eeks… it’s gonna be a loooong day.

But not like tomorrow is going to be a long day. Breakfast is being held for us by my program’s administration at 7:30 a.m., the ceremony is at 9:30 a.m. and then my parents and I will be heading over to a nice ol’ Chinese restaurant for lunch. Afterwards, I hope to get home, relax and perhaps even get a nap in before I have to go to work at 6:00 p.m. I also hope to make some money tomorrow night since this morning was such a bust. I can’t quite handle parties yet, and I especially can’t handle parties where people trickle in rather than come all at once and order all at once.

Anyway… I know I promised a review of the Dave Matthews Band concert but I decided that posting about my passage from Student into Graduate deserved to take the spot tonight. Ooh… I do know the one thing that I’m excited about for tomorrow – I’m excited to see my friends again!!

  1. Congratulations!
Like someone already mentioned, it may not be a big deal to you at the moment, but when it does hit you you will see just how big a deal it is.

  2. Congrats! I think this is the first time I’m dropping a comment here.

Anyway, it may not be a big deal to you at the moment but I think finally when its that moment, it will finally hit you. Congrats yet again.

  3. Congratulations Reg! I graduated today too, except mine was the afternoon ceremony. I promise to talk about it on my blog as soon as I get a chance. I felt the same way about graduation as you did… not as excited as I probably should have been. Not sure if it’s b/c I’ve already started a full-time job or what… however, I’m really glad I went to the ceremony b/c I was also excited to see all my friends. Post some pictures 🙂

Awh Thank you and congratulations to you too Lynn!! I’ll post pictures as soon as I get them from everyone… and get ours printed. My digital camera died (in more ways than in batteries) so I couldn’t take any of my own photos this time around. But I am willing to hunt everyone down that took photos so…

  4. Yay! I’m so happy for you!! Congratulations Reggie!!!

Thanks April!! Any news on whether you’ll be able to make it to my BBQ this Sat???? 😀 😀 😀
