Party girl!

I feel refreshed. rejuvenated. incredibly irresponsible. And it feels fantastic.

Thursday, March 30th
It was the night of our Graduation formal. Held at a very posh hotel downtown where one of our graduates from last year works as the Banquets Co-ordinator. The day started off horribly for me personally as I went to bed at 5am and had to get downtown for a 10:00 a.m. meeting with my Air Canada group members. And although that went really well, the rest of the day was spent hopelessly running around trying to get things done that just would not get done. I ended up searching for parking for about 1.5 hours, only to finally park at my friend’s place nearby which ended up making me so late for set-up that there was barely anything left to do except for setting up the registration desk. Reception was at 6:00 p.m. and everyone looked fantastic as we walked in at 6:45 p.m., and seemed to be having a great time. The night went off with a few glitches, but Nick was an amazing MC, and sweet-talked everyone through. I ended up singing “I will remember you” by Sarah McLachlan though not the whole song since I don’t know the verses that well. They seemed to enjoy it anyways. I don’t know how I stayed up all day, night and at the club afterwards but I did end up picking up a cute little boy named Jordan. Hah where are all the boys my age? We exchanged numbers but I don’t think I’m going to be calling him, unless one of my 21 year old friends wants to be set-up. He was adorable though, real funny and sweet.

Sleep was welcomed that night, and it came easy despite having to share the bed with Kiki1 & Joy1… and then later Nick! hahaha

Friday, March 31st
We all eventually woke up the next morning… err… afternoon and made our way to Cora’s for breakfast where we enjoyed the best morning-after breakfast ever! That was quickly followed by a whole lot of running around to return the rentals we had before 5:00 p.m. but it all got done! I went grocery shopping with my Mum in the evening, which I enjoy doing from time to time because it allows me to spend some time with her. After dinner, Jen came by and picked me up to go to the Guvernment for Katrina’s birthday. It was a little awkward at first since I haven’t really seen those people in a while but Sara, her boyfriend Le, Ana, Jen, her friend Corey & I had fun fending off the slime that kept trying to ‘dance’ us up. Katrina ended up going home early because she couldn’t handle the tequila shot she had… I felt bad for her, but she said for us to stay and enjoy ourselves so, we did.

Saturday, April 1st
After sleeping for 12 hours, I woke up with just enough time to eat and get ready for work. I did feel a little bit sick sleeping for that long, but I promised myself I would work it all off by busting my ass at work. And thank goodness I did because we got spanked! I mean the reservations weren’t extraordinary but for some reason all the food orders came in all at once and the kitchen was in the weeds because of it. Our manager closed early enough though and Rufina and I were able to grab some dinner before heading over to Christina’s Kegger for her 21st birthday celebration (again, where are the boys my age?) which ended up being a really fun time despite not knowing very many people. I got home around 2:30 but because of day light savings, it was actually 3:30… I didn’t end up going to bed until 5:00 a.m. because I really wanted to get this new layout up.
And so, today… is my rest day. I was meant to go over to Darrach’s place to watch a DVD rental.. but I think I’m giong to stay home and clean up my room. And actually prepare myself for the final test I have in one of my classes tomorrow! haha How was your weekend?

  1. Awh thanks guys. But you see here in Canada, we hold our Graduation Formal an entire MONTH before we’re actually done… just to add to the stress that already is school! lol So I’m not really done, I have two weeks of classes left, and then another two weeks of exams!

  2. Cora’s is mine and Simon’s favourite breakfast restaurant! Isn’t it delicious? Our regular pick is the 10 on 10 omelette. We just can’t get enough of it, and we just recently heard that they’re opening a new restaurant 5 minutes away from Simon’s house =)

  3. Hey! Congrats on graduation 🙂 Sorry I’ve been so absent. After I graduated last year, I guess I became boring! LOL. I never do anything anymore…
