Monday Madness: My Intellegence Type

I found this test from Laura at That Grrl sometime last year and thought it was rather interesting so I took it but I’m only posting the results now because there have been so many occasions to do memes for!

My result for Howard Gardner’s Eight Types of Intelligence Test

Musical

8% Logical, 4% Spatial, 29% Linguistic, 37% Intrapersonal, 35% Interpersonal,
45% Musical, 37% Bodily-Kinesthetic and 33% Naturalistic!

Musical

“This area has to do with rhythm, music, and hearing. Those who have a high level of musical-rhythmic intelligence display greater sensitivity to sounds, rhythms, tones and music. They normally have good pitch and may even have absolute pitch, and are able to sing, play musical instruments, and compose music. Since there is a strong auditory component to this intelligence, those who are strongest in it may learn best via lecture. In addition, they will often use songs or rhythms to learn and memorize information, and may work best with music playing in the background.

Careers which suit those with this intelligence include instrumentalists, singers, conductors, disc-jockeys, and composers.” (Wikipedia)

I’m glad to see that I could have realised my dream of being a singer, its just too bad that I never pursued it. I’m sure I could still do some sort of singing when I have my own ‘neighbourhood’ established though I’m not sure why I’m even bothering to wait for that.

I certainly don’t learn best via lectures though. I learn better by learning how to do things myself, which makes me quite a horrible student really – I guess I can blame the 29% linguistic side of me for this. It was a fun quiz anyway, and I’m happy with my result.

What’s your Intellegence Type?

Monday Madness: A Valentine’s Day meme

I know Valentine’s is becoming more and more of a nuisance than a treasured holiday, but at the end of the day it was still intended to celebrate love, so I still like it. Like Christmas, you just have to find ways to make this a more meaningful holiday rather than buy into all the propaganda they try to shove down your throat. And so, in celebration of this wonderful celebration of love here is a Valentine’s Day meme. I stole it off Bearcub’s Soapbox, but deleted quite a few questions1 because it was  a very long meme!

Those who I have only encountered once.
  24. Are you a jealous person?
    Depends on the situation.
  25. Do you currently hate someone?
