Tomorrow, I bake
I’m getting into a little more routine now at the new place despite still having a long list of ‘unpacking/moving’ things to do and it feels so good. Simply being able to sit down and blog and reply to comments makes me feel so at home that it makes it easier to forget that I’m aching to hold him again. But this time, the ache is quickly followed by the biggest of smiles. This smile is brought on by the knowledge that near the end of the summer I will get my wish.
Sticking to the diet has been a little difficult since he went back to Dublin because I simply haven’t had time or the energy. I’m slowly allowing a little more carbohydrates in my diet but am loving the discovery that whole wheat alternatives no longer taste as awful as they used to. I remember when whole wheat first came around… everything tasted like cardboard. It was so wrong. But I’m excited to try my very first whole wheat beef and spinach lasange.
I’m hoping to make enough that I can freeze half of it so I have a lunch to take with me when I get invited out for last minute weekday get togethers. Yes, I plan for these things because I don’t like saying no and I also don’t like being out a lunch. Yes, I am a little bit of a loser… but I’m a loser with a free lunch and a social life

Ha. I’m feeling a little Carrie Bradshaw right now actually. The desk in the new apartment is sitting in front of the window and as I put my foot up on the chair and leaned my chin on my knee an image of Sarah-Jessica Parker doing the exact same thing in Sex in the City just flashed in my head. Oh and for those of you wondering: Yes, I will be posting pictures but only when I’m completely done decorating the place. I hope for this time to be soon because we’re planning to have our housewarming party around the third weekend in June2
Erica is the only one who answered me so I have to ask again, How have you been?

@Kym: Thanks the lasange was quite a hit! And I still have one last piece left for lunch today
I’m so happy to hear that things are going well for you. Here’s hoping it only gets better!
@Micaela: Once we moved everything in I’m glad that we ended up with the apartment with a smaller, shared living space because it would have been so much harder (financially) to furnish! Good luck with yours and I can’t wait for our brunch next Sun!
@Ken: I’ve written something… but it’s not finished! I’m waiting for further inspiration. Congratulations to your two little ones – They’re growing up so fast!! What visitor’s are you expecting?? Or is it for the party you’re going to have for the two little ones!?
@Miss Tique: Heheh I haven’t really advertised that I have internet connection at home again so it’s understandable for you to assume that I didn’t have it yet. hehe. I baked some beef and spinach whole wheat lasange and it’s not bad (if I do say so myself). lol I hope you have some fun in between sleep and work too though?!?!
@Erica: It’s one of the reasons I love ya!
@Sarah: Sounds like a good idea to me. I’ll try to post it in the next few days
@Ayprel: I find your advice very interesting as I actually am not (despite what I write about here hehe). I will have to talk to you about in a more private setting though. I’m happy to hear your life is rewarding despite being tough
I prefer mine to be that way.
@erin: So happy to hear you’re doing better. I have thought about you even though I haven’t been by your blog. I like Spring but I much prefer summer as the spring here tends to be too windy and rainy for dresses and skirts (which is all I want to live in these days hehe). Thanks for the feedback on Ayprel’s advice too
@trench: Oh I miss all of you as well. Can’t wait to get back to reading all of your blogs!!

Hi Reggy
Glad to see you writing here again.
I have been doing well, since my horrible health ordeal back in April anyway. The Boy and I have gotten even closer the past couple of months. I had a great memorial day. I am having fun doing yardwork and landscaping around the house. Also just went to the spa for the first time and got a massage, a manicure and a pedicure. It was great!
Spring is my absolute favorite time of year. It always makes me happy and I have nothing to complain about.
I second what Ayprel said.

Don’t sweat it – enjoy the ride of transition. I read your previous post too. Just so you know. Life is tough, but rewarding. My advice? Don’t rely on Dublin for happiness.

What did you bake 2 days ago?
Believe me or not, I was still thinking that you have problems with the internet connection and … I haven’t checked on your blog for the last two weeks. Shame on me, I know!
Anyway, I’m very happy for you being better (at least this is what I feel from reading your lines).
As for the diet, I’m done with it. Except for the berries (I kind of became addictive to them).
Everything else is the same as you know: sleep-work-sleep-work
) I hope this answers your “how have you been?” question.
I’m done for now

I’ve been good. It’s a very busy time with one kid making his First Communion and the elder making his Confirmation. Lots of house work done to bring us up to ‘visitor standard’.
I like the Carrie Bradshaw image. Write something!

Hi Reggy! I’m glad you are liking your new place. Ours is coming along nicely too, but slowly. It’s just so big! I want to buy new furniture but I’m afraid our next place will be teeny tiny because Kent keeps talking about buying a condo, and that we’ll have to get rid of it all. Oh well. We’ll figure it out!
I’m replying on here because direct messaging needs to get it’s act together. Sorry Sunday didn’t work out… boo… I’m going back to London this weekend but how about the Sunday after that? It’s not for a while but time goes by fast.
We should plan eearly where we wanna go so that we are all ready and there will be no confusion!
