Media Monday: Winter 2009/10 TV programming

At a time when I have so much crap going on in my head and in my heart, I would like to turn your1 attention to the entertainment I am most looking forward to in the next little while. I was in danger of not being able to get cable this year – what with moving out and into a flat with someone who simply does not watch TV2. BUT. He agreed. He agreed and so I’ll be making a call to Rogers first thing tomorrow morning to request installation. Booya-shaka!

This season is a bit different because I’ve actually spent the summer without TV, so there are only two shows that I am looking forward to watching: Heroes and Grey’s Anatomy. Sure, I’ve listed the CSI trio, Law & Order: SVU, Flashpoint, Numb3rs, and Desperate Housewives down in my calendar but really, these are the only two that I am looking forward to.

The 2 hour season premiere for Heroes is on tonight at 10pm EST3. And I can’t wait. I didn’t get a chance to re-watch the season 3 finale but I did get a chance to look through the photos and I’m dying to find out what happens to Sylar. And the rest of the gang of course. Mostly, I’m dying to see Peter4 again. But in all honesty… I’m dying to find out if Nathan is back?! Good lord, I can’t believe that scene.

And then later this week is the awesome Grey’s Anatomy. I can’t believe George is gone though because we didn’t see all that much of him in the last few seasons, I wonder how much I’ll actually miss him. But of course my favourite story in GA is the Meredith and Derek story. I’m curious about Alex and Izzie too but really more M & D. I really hope they make it and have beautiful babies!

  1. @Erica: I freakin’ forgot that it was on last night so I still haven’t seen an episode!! Might have to check the interwebs… Can’t believe D hates GA. I think I couldn’t even survive the summer without watching it… so much so I went online and watch it from the very beginning!! Also, Heroes rocks! You MUST watch!

@Penny: I know right? I hope you get to watch Heroes because it’s so good and the season premiere was freakin’ awesome!

@Erin: Awh man. This is the first fall I’ve been THIS excited about more than one show! Please watch Heroes so you can read more of my Media Monday posts!! LOL

@Leah: LOL I didn’t even get a notification to moderate your comment. It went straight to spam!! LOL Maybe next time you should put at least one other sentence so the machines don’t think you’re a spammer!!! I’ve heard it’s really good but I have yet to see an episode!!

  2. I think this is the first fall in a long time that I’m not actually excited about any shows. My faves are usually either cancelled or on a more expensive channel that I don’t get. I actually canceled my cable because there’s just no point to me having it. Maybe after I watch season 3 of Heroes I might be excited about season 4?

  3. Oooh can’t believe it’s a new season already! Hmmm now I might have to ‘download’ Heroes since that’s the only way I get to watch it. or maybe it will be on in the UK very soon too?! Will definitely be exciting to see what happens to Nathan!

  4. Glee, baby. I am effing gleeful about Glee.
Unfortunatly I have no time for any other TV this fall. Just Glee. D hates Grey’s 🙁 and I’ve never gotten into Heroes (though I’d like to, I think I would enjoy it!)
