Late last year, I got an email from Stan Hayes of Razzball.com suggesting that I be a part of a ad network that he and Turnip of Turnip of Power had cooked up. There wasn’t much to think about since it wasn’t going to cost me anything but some space on my sidebar. So I agreed. CMF Ads officially launched in October 20081 and then relaunched to the general public on January 1, 2009 – further prooving that 2009 is going to be a great year!
It has been an exciting few months to say the least. While I was absent for the beta testing, I’ve been part of a network full of helpful, intelligent, organised and determined people. I would have to say that my favourite part of being a part of this network is that it is incredibly easy to get a hold of one of the admins. And I only have one of them (Ben Barden) on a chat client! Its a sure sign that these are people who are dedicated to delivering a quality product – and that’s rare in these days of the internet!
Then there is the amazing community who make up the network; people from all walks of life and with varying interests coming together with the common goal of promoting their work in a way that actually works. And they’re all extremely willing and able to help anyone, who needs it, get things off the ground.
Even though I don’t like numbers, there is something great about CMF Ads that I just can’t deny: advertising costs so little, you’d be crazy not to do it. While you could argue that cheap isn’t as good as free, consider this: free means no value. Nothing in life is free, and with good reason; to truly appreciate something, we need to have experienced some sort of sacrifice to achieve it.
Having said that, the small fee is about all you’ll have to sacrifice to be a part of this great network because its so easy to join! Register, place the code, buy credits, place an ad, wait for others to buy an ad on your site… its so easy – I’m pretty sure a monkey2 could do it.
Just in case you missed all that, I love CMF Ads because:
- The admins are readily available for support.
- The community is like no other online.
- Their ‘economy’ is stable.
- Its so easy!
So what are you waiting for?
